Hi!I've been watching your works for a while, they are really amazing and inspiring!
I studied in Graphic Design when I was in college, therefore I didnt practice myself for figure drawing part.Recently,I'm drawing at home to prepare the portfolio for applying animation in American art school. My question is how to catch the feature and the movement when drawing?Do they have some important connection with anatomy?(I've just learned skeleton by reading books, muscle not yet)I'm really looking forward your any answers or hints!Thank you so much!

Hi Lucy... it's a pretty difficult thing to do.. so.. what i've been trying is to simplify the wolre process... like make everything as simple as possible.. I'd say forget about everything.. and try to make the lines represent the movement.. if you can get the pose in a few simple lines. you can build forms.. or muscles.. skeletons or whatever you want on top of it.. I did a brief post about process.. don't know if you saw it.. but here's a link.

Hi,Chromasketch!
Thank you for the digital handouts and explanations.
It's so inspiring when you said "simple lines represent the movement".I think I still lack of practise, but now I could do more life drawings with direction!Thank you very much again!
BTW,if there is a chance could I ask you for checking my works?I want more advice and suggestions from different good artists!

Hey Lucy, I took a look at your blog. the one drawing you posted looks pretty good. Unfortunately I can't do any personal critiques.. but from that one drawing, it looks like you know what you're doing.
