June 26th: sketch update








may move the updates to Tuesday... seems like my Monday's are usually packed.

awesome stuff! How long do you take to make a sketch? How do you get time to get the character of the face right in such less time! They're really awesome. :)

I would say.. a sketch usually takes.. 1-3 minutes on average? Hmm... I think the easy answer to that is practice.... the process though.. would be... getting down what you see in a simple way.. like having enough there so that when the model moves.. you can still complete it... i guess the key is... getting enough information down where you can finish it off without the model... so get the first impression.. and hopefully you can make up the rest from that impression that you got. Yeah I got it.. Like making a basic gesture - the skeleton, and then adding on the details that you remember. :) Thanks for the tip!

if the person is still in the area.. you can still check them for details.. it's just a matter of transposing it onto your gesture drawing... so.. that's kind of helpful as well.. if the person is totally out of the area though.. that's when you got to make things up.
